A lover's loss, a coward's lust. I watched them swarm in glacial movements, blocking the sun and regressing as one, one fucking heinous mistake. I carved my name in steel and stone, burdened by every rusted stain before my eyes; hopeless. My lungs ache, another miasmic breath takes to the air, I writhe in disbelief, barely holding posture. No will to learn, no reason to teach. The swine feed, in time, they breed. Draining beauty from life like blood to the leech. Drop the hammer upon the heart, the only ease to the abhorrence. The loss outweighs it all.
I see a plague, gripped with fear, more primitive than we know. Young foals struggle to stand on malnourished bones, they speak in vulgar displays of animalistic avarice. Dear mothers, dear fathers, bear your crosses oblivious to the weight. If only we could age in harmony, over disintegration, free from foul intention. And I could free my head from enmity. This ephemeral life will rust, the seas will rise, and your absence returns beauty to life. Your absence, the amends.
